I am very proud to share my work with you, after 2 years of development. I entirely designed this watch with the aim of paying homage to the very first version of the Skipper (Reference 7754) while bringing this product back in time and even more.

Set against the Signature Carrera Blue dial, the light shades of teal on the twin counters at 3 and 9 o’clock recall the deck of the Intrepid, the America's Cup boat that inspired the original Skipper watch in 1968. The perfect blend of style and function.
After Intrepid's success in defending the America's Cup, Heuer celebrated by creating an entirely new chronograph, the Skipper. The Skipper started with a two-register Carrera (Reference 7753) and a dial repainted to match the colors of the Intrepid. The chronograph minute recorder was modified for regatta timing. Instead of the chronograph counting up to 30 minutes, the minute register counted down the 15 minutes from the sounding of the first horn to the moment when the competitors may cross the start line. Following the style of yacht timers, each five-minute segment had a distinctive color, with the three segments of the Skipper being dark teal green, light teal green, and bright orange.
Performance meets style in the three-colour regatta countdown indicator combining a vivid orange segment to alert the crew on the 5 minutes remaining before departure, a green one to recall the boat’s rigging, and light teal to echo the colour of the Intrepid’s deck.
Integrating the distinctive 'Glass Box' design featured recently on the TAG Heuer Carrera, the watch sports an ultra-clear curved glass flange from edge to edge, offering rapid time-telling, even while taming the strong ocean winds.
Crafted for high-performance like every TAG Heuer sports watch, the Skipper edition integrates the Calibre TH20-06 movement with bi-directional winding and 80 hours of power reserve. All set to sail the seven seas with absolute confidence.
